Supporting your Local Branch

You can support your local branch in a number of ways:

Volunteer:

We have an up-to-date list of volunteering opportunities on our volunteer page, here.

Donate goods:

You can donate unwanted and unused items of clothing, homeware and more to our community hub in chester-le-street. Get in touch to find out how.

Become a member:

You can choose from individual or collective membership to the branch by setting up a direct debit and receiving membership benefits, such as an annual invitation to our AGM. Find out more, here.

Make a one-off donation:

You can donate a sum of your choice to the branch in a number of ways based on your preference. You can donate via our JustGiving page, via Paypal, or by post if sending a cheque. Please make any cheques out to RSPCA Sunderland, Hartlepool & South Tyneside Branch.

How do you use your donations?

We use monetary donations and sell donated clothing and household items from our community hub in order to help fund the ongoing work of the branch, such as:

  • Subsidised neutering and microchipping for pets whose owners are on low income.

  • Emergency veterinary consultation fees and basic treatment for pets who are in urgent need of veterinary care.

  • Care, rehabilitation and treatment for animals taken into RSPCA Society's care from our branch area by the inspectorate and frontline teams.

  • Cruelty prevention education materials and school projects.
